Life seems to crack open the human heart making it clear that matters of the heart are indeed what matter. It may even be that pieces of a shattered heart sometimes fit together almost better, albeit a little less perfect but somehow a more faithful picture. I offer one you can touch, hold and wear, a steward of better instincts, a talisman gifted to and from the trusty pumper. Following, listening to, speaking from, and taking heart inevitably serve us well in offering our best selves to each other and the world. And heaven knows, the world and its inhabitants could use more of that from each of us.

While a heart felt moment, or special bond is not always considered tangible, this heart shaped charm is a symbolic gesture to give to another as a memory of a special moment or bond.

When my father passed away, I lost a piece of my heart that I will never get back. At his funeral I read E.E. Cummings’ poem, [i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]. Not long after the funeral, a dear old friend sent me Sandra’s beautiful necklace. I’ve worn it every day since, and it brings me so much peace and joy. Having the necklace has literally been a reminder that my beloved father remains with me, that I carry his heart and that he is part of everything that I do. And when I am sad or lonesome for him (which is often), I hold onto my sweet talisman and think of him. I never expected jewelry to speak to me in such a powerful way. I’m most grateful.
